Our lives revolve around water. It’s somehow involved in everything thing we do, everything we use. We are experts in water and wastewater treatment and delivery.

In Arizona we serve about 317,000 people, supplying high quality water and wastewater service. We abide by regulations, invest in our vast infrastructure, develop industry innovations, educate our customers on wise water use, and help out where we can in our cities and towns.

Because water is such an integral part of life, we take pride in taking care of it.

In Arizona, the Arizona Corporate Commission sets rules and we carefully follow them. Those regulations are what help to ensure everyone is receiving high quality water and wastewater service at a fair price. All increases in service rates are directly related to the cost of providing high quality service and are subjected to a public review process and approval by the Arizona Corporate Commission.

In addition, Arizona American Water follows strict United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) regulations that help to provide high quality drinking water. Because we work in cooperation with the USEPA to help in the development of national drinking water standards, we are often years ahead of the industry in implementing regulations.

Arizona American Water is committed to delivering high quality water to all of our customers in Arizona. We conduct about 15,000 tests per year for about 100 potential contaminants, checking drinking water quality at every stage of the water treatment and delivery process.

Arizona American Water diligently safeguards it water supply for our customers - and visitors - who rely on high-quality water. We continually adopt new and improved methods of delivering water and wastewater services to customers in Maricopa, Mohave, and Santa Cruz counties.

We support local communities and provide wise water use information to encourage our customers to use water - our most precious natural resource - wisely.
