Turning Water On

Customers may call us at 1-906-337-3502 for water service and one of our experienced customer service representatives will be ready to help Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m to schedule  service  and explain any fees that will apply.

For a residence that has never had water service, please contact our local office at 1-906-337-3502.  

For a residence where water is already being provided, you want to be sure that you are only charged for the water you use. We will visit your residence to read the meter and start your billing with an actual reading.

If you were not previously an American Water customer, a deposit may be required until you have established a satisfactory history.

 

Turning the Water Off

Please notify us a few days before you want your water service disconnected. This will enable us to take a final and accurate meter reading, remove our meter and ensure that you are only charged for water you have used. Be ready to tell us the date service should be stopped, to arrange a final meter reading and meter removal  and to provide us with your final billing address. And don’t forget to have your service address, billing address, and telephone number handy.
