Lifted Boil Water Advisory for Aquajito Rd in Monterey, CA On July 8, 2020, you were notified of the need to boil/disinfect all tap water used for drinking and cooking purposes. The California American’s Monterey Water System in conjunction with the State Water Resources Control Board, and/or Monterey County Environmental Health Jurisdiction, has determined that, through abatement of the health hazard and comprehensive testing of the water, your water is safe to drink. It is no longer necessary to boil your tap water or for you to consume bottled water.

Monterey: Aquajito: Boil Water Advisory Due to a main break that occurred near Aquajito road last night, we are advising you to only use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes. This is a safety precaution to avoid stomach or intestinal illness. We will inform you when tests show that water is safe to drink and you no longer need to boil your water. Although we anticipate restoring your water service today, the boil water advisory likely won’t be lifted until the end of the day on July 10. The water is safe for bathing and hand washing. If you have questions about other uses of tap water, please call our call center at 1-888-237-1333. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we ask that you maintain a distance of six feet or more from our field staff should you encounter them working in your area. Thank you.
