The leak has been fixed and the water will be restored soon. As a safety precaution, you will need to boil your water for one minute and allow it to cool before drinking when water resumes. Currently the Garrapata service area is experiencing a water outage due to unexpected leaks in the water line caused by recent storms. California American Water is evaluating the situation and is working on a safe and effective solution. We do not have an estimated time when water service will be restored. However, when water service is resumed, as a safety precaution you will need to boil your water for one minute and allow it to cool before drinking it. 12.6.16 Chualar Planned Shutdown California American Water crews will be making improvements to our system on December 8 2016, in your area, which will require temporary disruption of your water service. Water service will be turned off at approximately: 9:00am and could be interrupted for up to 8 hours. When service is restored, customers may experience cloudy or discolored water. If your water is discolored, please open several cold water faucets until it runs clear before using. This should typically take only a few minutes. Thank you for your patience while we make this improvement to better serve you.
