California: Geyserville
10/30/2019 11:59:42 PM
California: Geyserville This is message for our Geyserville and Larkfield customers returning from evacuation during the Kincaid Fire. California American Water was able to maintain normal water service in Geyserville and Larkfield during the Kincaid Fire by implementing our emergency preparedness and resiliency plans. While our wells and distribution system were not damaged and operated normally during the fire, the water in your home may appear cloudy or dirty due to changes in water flow caused by firefighting efforts supported from our systems, or from sitting in your home’s plumbing for a number of days. If your water does not appear normal or has an unusual odor, we recommend that you run both the hot and cold water fixtures in your home between 10 to 15 minutes before using the water. If the water is still cloudy or dirty after 15 minutes of flushing, or if you are experiencing other water quality or service problems, please call us at 888 237-1333. We understand the fire and evacuation has disrupted routines and caused hardship. We will be extending customer protections to help our customers including extension of payment dates, credits for water used for fire protection and other payment arrangements and assistance. Look for more information in the coming days in the mail, by following us on social media or give us a call at 888 237-1333 if you have questions or concerns. Thank you and welcome back.
