After extensive water quality testing and recovery work we have received permission to remove the “Do Not Drink” order for most areas. Customers on Larkfield Maples Court and first responders and rercovery personell in the manditory evacuation areas are still affected by the "Do Not Drink" order and will be noticed seperatly. Water in all other parts of the system is safe to drink and use for all other purposes. Customers are encouraged to run their faucets for several minutes to flush their home plumbing. Due to the extensive damage, Customers on Los Arboles Way, Los Altos Ct, Vista Grande Pl, all of Vista Grande Dr., Wikiup Ct, Knollwood Ct and customers with address above 800 on Wikiup Dr. are still under a Do not Consume order. Pressure was restored to these areas today, laboratory sampling to verify the safety of the water for consumption will be completed as soon as possible and additional notifications will be provided to customers as results become available. Water is safe to drink in all other areas of the Larkfield where customers have been allowed to repopulate. Currently the Garrapata service area is experiencing a water outage due to unexpected leaks in the water line caused by recent storms. California American Water is evaluating the situation and is working on a safe and effective solution. We do not have an estimated time when water service will be restored. However, when water service is resumed, as a safety precaution you will need to boil your water for one minute and allow it to cool before drinking it.
