GREENWOOD, Ind. (April 16, 2019) – Indiana American Water today announced it has scheduled an open house for its customers in Sheridan, Ind. The company acquired the systems from the Town of Sheridan late last year and provides water and wastewater service to more than 2,500 water and wastewater customers, which represents a population of more than 3,000 residents.
The open house will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Sheridan Community Center, 300 E. 6th Street in Sheridan, Ind. Customers are encouraged to show up anytime during the two-hour period to learn more about the company’s plans. Refreshments will be served.
“We look forward to meeting with our new customers and sharing information on our plans for these systems,” said Indiana American Water Senior Operations Superintendent Ryan Smith. “We have already made several improvements to our operations here and have additional plans moving forward to further upgrade the community’s water and wastewater infrastructure while, at the same time, providing future rate stability and helping the Town of Sheridan to address other pressing needs in the community.”
The acquisition of the Sheridan water and wastewater systems for approximately $10.75 million was approved by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission in September and closed by Indiana American Water and the Town of Sheridan on Monday, December 17, 2018.
