Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Some Customers in Rockcastle County

A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for approximately 80 Kentucky American Water customers in the Brush Creek/Big Cave area of Rockcastle County. The advisory was issued as a precaution due to a contractor damaging a water main on the City of Mount Vernon’s water system. Water for the affected customers is delivered through the pipe that was damaged before it connects to Kentucky American Water's water distribution system.  The damaged pipe has been repaired.

The following roads are impacted by the precautionary boil water advisory:

After boiling water, customers should let the water cool before consuming it. This precautionary advisory is in effect until further notice.
