BEL AIR, Md. (March 24, 2017)—Richard Corbi has been named Operations Manager for Maryland American Water. Effective March 27, he will be responsible for the company’s development, management and operations, and will be based in Bel Air. In this role, Corbi permanently replaces Rob McIntyre, who retired in December 2016.
“We are so pleased to have Richard take on this role for our company,” said Maryland American Water President, Barry Suits. “Richard’s extensive utility experience and commitment to excellent customer service make him a great fit for his new role, and I know he looks forward to meeting our customers in Maryland.”
Most recently, Corbi served as Manager of Financial Strategy, Planning and Decision Support for both Maryland and Virginia American Water. Prior to joining both companies in 2014, he held senior leadership positions in the electric and water utility industries, where he was involved in strategy, operations, finance and rates.
A member of the American Water Works Association and the Financial Executives Networking Group, Corbi holds an MBA from Nichols College and a JD from Southern New England School of Law. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Boston College.
