Manoj Patel Named Senior Manager of Statewide Sewer Operations

CAMDEN, N.J. (March 11, 2019) – New Jersey American Water recently announced that Manoj Patel of Bridgewater has been named senior manager of the company’s Statewide Sewer Operations. In this role, Patel will oversee daily operations for the company’s 20 wastewater treatment plants; including managing capital resources, maintenance services as well as health, safety and environmental compliance. Patel will also ensure that customers continue to receive high quality customer service and operational reliability.

“Manoj has been a great asset to New Jersey American Water for the past 16 years, managing the design and construction of capital improvement projects throughout our central and northern regions,” said Thomas Shroba, New Jersey American Water’s vice president of Operations. “He has a strong grasp of all aspects of the industry and his commitment to excellence will drive our Statewide Sewer operations toward continuous improvement.”

In his most recent role within the company, Patel led a team of project managers delivering the company’s capital improvement plan and assisted in prioritizing capital investment projects, including serving as the senior project manager on the Raritan-Millstone Water Treatment Plant flood protection and other large capital improvement projects aimed at building resiliency, efficiency and asset renewal. Prior to joining New Jersey American Water, Manoj worked as an engineer consultant focused in planning and design of water supply, treatment and distribution system projects. His background also includes experience in municipal engineering.

Patel earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He also holds a Professional Engineer’s license and is a certified Project Management Professional.
