New York American Upstates, Whitlock Farms, This is an important message from New York American Water for the Whitlock Farms system customers. New York American Water operators are inspecting the distribution system for leaks as we have experienced a loss of system pressure. Once the situation has been assessed we will schedule resources to make the emergency repairs. Low pressure started on October 06 2018 in the morning and will affect customers in the Whitlock Farm district located in Otisville, Mount Hope, Orange County New York. Once the leak has been located it may take up to 16 hours before water service is back to normal. Boil Water Notice - While we conduct the required sampling in the local distribution system, you will need to boil your water for three minutes before consumption. You will receive another message from New York American Water letting you know when this precautionary boil water advisory is lifted. Customers may experience cloudy and or discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the water momentarily until it clears before using. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience while repairs are being made. Merrick, North Wantagh and Seaford This is an important message from New York American Water for our Wantagh and Seaford communities that are north of the Southern State Parkway. Due to a mechanical issue at one of the area’s pumping wells, New York American Water has issued Water Use Restrictions during off-peak, overnight hours as a precautionary measure to ensure water supply meets the high demand during the heavy-use summer season. Customers should refrain from any outdoor water usage including irrigation, lawn watering, vehicle washing, or topping off pools. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. New York American, Sea Cliff, This is an important message from New York American Water for our customers in Sea Cliff, Glen Head, Glenwood Landing, Old Brookville, Roslyn Harbor and Glen Cove. We are in the process of starting up the new Sea Cliff well this weekend during evening hours. New York American Water will be replacing distribution system valves in the Whittier section of the Kingsvale Water District in Kingston NY. Weather Permitting, the project will start on Monday June 11 and be completed by approximately Tuesday June 12. Work is scheduled between 9 am and 4 pm June 11 and June 12. As a result of these repairs customers on the following streets Dunwoodie Drive, Meadowbrook Drive, Vestal Hills Drive, Jumping Brook Lane, Indian Springs Lane, Heather Lane, Green Brook Drive, Links Lane, Urban Way, Cascade Drive may experience NO WATER. Repairs are expected to take 7 hours or less each day before water service is back to normal. When service is restored, customers may experience discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the water momentarily until it clears before using. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience while repairs are being made.

2018.05.16: NY: Hewlett: PLND ATTENTION HEWLETT RESIDENTS: East Rockaway Road in Hewlett will be closed from 8PM Thursday (5/17/18) until 5AM Friday (5/18/2018) from Broadway to Union Avenue. Traffic heading west will be detoured onto Union Avenue then Prospect Road to Broadway. Traffic heading east will be detoured onto Broadway then Prospect Road to Union Avenue. Please use caution when navigating around the construction site. During this time water Service will be temporarily interrupted on Paine Road, and on East Rockaway Road. from Broadway to Paine Road.
