New York American Water to Begin Three Additional Water Main Replacement Projects in Valley Stream

Valley Stream, NY (May 15, 2019)—New York American Water is investing $415,000 to install new eight-inch ductile iron water mains along numerous roadways throughout Valley Stream. The first of the three projects is set to begin on Wednesday, May 15th. The improvements collectively include installing approximately 1,660 feet of eight-inch ductile iron main, which will replace the six-inch mains installed in the early 1900s. The scheduled construction will also replace three fire hydrants and transfer 46 service lines.
