Water Quality Reports Available Online for Kentucky American Water Customers

In honor of Drinking Water Week, Kentucky American Water is proud to share that its most recent Water Quality Reports are now available on its website here. Once again, the drinking water the company provides to approximately half a million people it serves meets or surpasses both state and federal water quality standards. 

Drinking Water Week, a more-than-40-year tradition led by the American Water Works Association, is celebrated May 4-10 this year in communities across North America and highlights the vital role water plays in our daily lives. 

“Kentucky American Water is committed to providing high-quality water to those we serve,” said Rob Burton, president of Kentucky American Water. “The annual water quality report is a great resource for learning more about your tap water and the important work that goes into treatment to meet or even exceed regulatory requirements. We’re proud of the work our team does every day to keep life flowing for customers.”

Also referred to as Consumer Confidence Reports, water quality reports – produced annually – describe local drinking water sources, summarize laboratory testing conducted between January and December of the previous year, list the levels of any substances contained in the water and provide tips on protecting water sources. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) and the Kentucky Division of Water set standards for water quality and monitor test results to help utilities meet those standards.

Customers can view the Water Quality report specific to their area by visiting the Water Quality section of the Kentucky American Water website and clicking Water Quality Reports, where they can search for their report by zip code. Printed copies of the report are also available to customers who do not wish to access it online by contacting customer service at 1-800-678-6301.
