This is part of our routine, annual maintenance program for high-quality, reliable water service to customers. While the flushing program is underway, customers may experience a temporary drop in water pressure or discoloration of their water for a short period of time. If this occurs, customers should simply let the COLD water run briefly, and the situation should clear up on its own within a few minutes. Thank you.

Tennessee American Water has planned to install new six inch pipe and fire hydrants along Center Street. Weather permitting, the work begins on Monday, June 12 and will be completed by the end of July. This $175,000 dollar pipeline project will improve water service reliability and increase water flows for household use and firefighting. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Safety is our number one priority. We will work with the city to determine the best way to route traffic in the area. We will also work to ensure that street closures and blockages are clearly marked to keep residents and workers safe. Thank you for your understanding.

Crews will be shutting off water services to nearby customers while a new in-line valve is installed.
