Tennessee American Water has LIFTED the precautionary boil water notice for its customers in the areas of the attached map that are identified in green based on sample test results taken from those areas that reaffirm that the water quality meets state and federal water quality standards.
The boil water notice was issued on September 13, as a precautionary measure following a major main break that resulted in a significant loss of pressure in the drinking water system.
Tennessee American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. For more information, contact Tennessee American Water’s customer service center at (800) 565-7292.
Please share this information with all the other people who receive water service within the areas identified above, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools and businesses). You can do this by posting this lift notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.
