We’re here to help

FREE Water Wise Surveys are available. California American Water provides free water use consultations for our residential and non-residential customers. For residential customers, a conservation specialist will visit your home, identify ways to help you save water, and even provide free low flow fixtures for your kitchen and bathroom. For non-residential customers, a conservation specialist will calculate an individualized water budget and provide water saving recommendations.

Please call your Conservation Specialist at (916) 568-4201 to schedule your in home survey.

Update on State Water Board Ban on Watering “Non-Functional” Turf With Potable Water

For commercial, institutional, and HOA common areas, the decorative grass watering emergency ban has expired: The Emergency Regulation to Ban Decorative Grass Watering (non-functional turf irrigation) in commercial, industrial, and institutional areas, including HOA common areas expired by operation of law on June 5, 2024. In October 2023, however, the California State Legislature passed Assembly Bill 1572, which phases in a ban on decorative grass watering in commercial, industrial, and institutional areas permanently”.

CAAW made recent changes to its residential conservation rebate program and is no longer offering indoor rebates for residential customers. Certain rebates, however, may still be available from your electric or gas utility. This change is due to lower approved funding levels for conservation rebate programs.
