Justin Sensabaugh Named Superintendent of Northern Division Operations

LEXINGTON, Ky.
Kentucky American Water has announced that Justin Sensabaugh will
be taking a new role as operations superintendent for the
utility’s Northern Division. In this role, Sensabaugh will oversee
the company’s water and wastewater operations in Gallatin, Grant
and Owen counties, with his office based in Owenton, Ky.
Sensabaugh is a five-year employee of Kentucky American Water,
beginning as a utility operator in 2008, moving quickly to
operations specialist and then to operations supervisor. In 2010,
he was named production supervisor for Richmond Road Station, and
recently has also been serving in an interim role as field
operations supervisor. Sensabaugh holds industry certifications in
water treatment and distribution (class IV), wastewater and
collections (class I), and is licensed in backflow prevention.
Sensabaugh, a native of London, Ky., started his career in the
water industry in 1998 with Laurel County Water District #2. While
there, he was also active with the Laurel County volunteer fire
and rescue department, receiving training in those areas in
addition to hazardous materials and substances.
“Justin has been a valuable member of the Kentucky American Water
team for some time, and I am confident he will excel in this new
role,” said Keith Cartier, vice president of operations. “Justin’s
extensive exposure to various aspects of water utility management,
his industry relationships, and his direct knowledge and expertise
with our system made him the ideal candidate for this position.”

stated Sensabaugh.
Sensabaugh earned an associate’s degree from Somerset Community
College. He is an active member of the American Water Works
Association – Kentucky/Tennessee Section, and an ambassador for
Lexington Habitat for Humanity.
Sensabaugh resides in Lexington with his wife, Leah.
