Kevin Rogers Named Vice President of Operations for Kentucky American Water

Kentucky American Water has announced that Kevin Rogers has been named vice president of operations for the company, effective Nov. 9. Rogers most recently served as director of operations for Tennessee American Water in Chattanooga, Tenn. He will report to Nick Rowe, who recently returned to Kentucky to serve as president of Kentucky American Water and senior vice president for American Water’s Central Division.

Rogers joined American Water in 2009 as finance manager for Tennessee American Water and was promoted to manager of operations four years later. In his operations role he was responsible for water quality, field operations, production and maintenance functional areas and directing cost-effective, high quality customer service and operational integrity. Before joining Tennessee American Water he was executive vice president of finances and operations for Crescent, Inc. His career also includes 17 years in a variety of financial and management roles with Rubbermaid Commercial Products.

“Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge to the Kentucky operations in the areas of operations and finance,” Rowe said. “He has been instrumental in leading our Tennessee operation to one of success in the areas of safety, compliance and customer service. In addition, Kevin is deeply committed to community involvement and I look forward to him applying that same passion for community service in Kentucky.”

Rogers graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in Accounting from Freed-Hardeman University and earned a master’s in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He also holds an active CPA license. He has served as treasurer for the Southeastern US Chapter of the National Association of Water Companies and as a board member for the Tennessee Valley Water Alliance, the Chattanooga Room in the Inn and the Signal Centers of Chattanooga. He has also been active with the United Way of Bradley County Budget Allocation Panel.
