Pennsylvania American Water Names New Manager of Field Operations for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Service Area

Pennsylvania American Water announced today that Anthony Gangemi has
been promoted to manager of field operations for the company’s
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre district.
In his new role, Gangemi will oversee the company’s field service and
distribution facilities in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties, where the
company serves more than 135,000 customers. He has more than 27 years of
service in the water industry, starting as a foreman with the former
Pennsylvania Gas & Water Company, and serving as superintendent for the
last 17 years with Pennsylvania American Water.
“Throughout his career, Tony has accumulated vast knowledge about our
distribution system, our people, and the communities we serve,” said
Michael Salvo, senior director of field operations, Pennsylvania
American Water. “As field operations manager, Tony will play more of an
integral to ensure that we continue providing reliable service to our
customers, enhance economic development, and strengthen relationships
with our local communities.”
A resident of Throop, Gangemi holds a bachelor’s degree from the
University of Scranton. He is currently serving his second term on
Throop Borough council.
