Alexandria, VA This is an important announcement from Virginia American Water. On July 9 Virginia American Water’s contractor, Utilities Unlimited, will be begin surveying select water service lines located on West Custis Avenue, West Windsor Avenue and West Howell Avenue. This work involves exposing the service lines in the street by digging a small pit in the public right of way at certain addresses. We are verifying the material of service lines for our records. Select residents have received prior notification through the mail. During this construction, which will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through July 11, your driveway or street may be blocked or partially blocked. You can always access your street and driveway, even when active digging is underway by notifying the construction supervisor.
