North Royal Street & Queen Street, Alexandria This is an important message from Virginia American Water. As the City of Alexandria prepares to separate the sewer and stormwater system on North Royal Street, Virginia American Water is required to lower the underground water service lines in the 300 block of North Royal Street in order to make room for the new pipes. Water service lines are connected to the main in the street. This work will take place between May 29 and June 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. One traffic lane will remain open at all times, and residents will always have access to their homes. Please comply with traffic control and “No Parking” signs that will be posted.
