Clinton:Boil Water Advisory Lift This is Iowa American Water calling to let you know that the precautionary boil water advisory issued in Clinton has been LIFTED. Water quality tests have confirmed the water continues to meet all U-S Environmental Protection Agency, Safe Drinking Water Act standards and regulations. It is no longer necessary to boil your water before drinking or cooking. During this precautionary boil advisory, Iowa American Water performed a series of tests to confirm that the water met all state and federal drinking water standards. Samples were taken from sites throughout Clinton, and our tests have confirmed that the water meets all state and federal requirements. During this boil advisory, customers should bring their water to a rolling boil for 1 minute before using water for drinking or cooking until further notice. This precautionary boil advisory is being issued in accordance with Iowa Department of Natural Resources regulations as a precaution to protect customers. This boil advisory is expected to be in effect for approximately 24 hours or until water quality tests confirm that it meets all state and federal water quality regulations.
