Clinton: Extended Boil Water Advisory: Roosevelt This is an important message from Iowa American Water. We are extending the precautionary boil advisory for our customers living on the 2000 block of Roosevelt Street in Clinton. This precautionary boil water extension is necessary because our crews are making additional emergency repairs to a water valve in your neighborhood. You are receiving this call because you are in the affected area. During this precautionary boil advisory, customers should bring their water to a rolling boil for 1 minute before using it for drinking or cooking until further notice. Water is OK for bathing, washing and other common uses. This precautionary boil advisory is being issued in accordance with Iowa Department of Natural Resources regulations as a precaution to protect customers. You will be notified in this same manner once the precautionary advisory is lifted. We apologize for any inconvenience these emergency repairs have caused you and thank you for your patience.

Iowa American Water crews are making emergency repairs on a hydrant beginning at 5:00 PM in Clinton, Iowa. As a result, of these repairs customers on the following streets will experience no water or lower pressure, on Roosevelt and North 21st Street. Repairs are expected to take 4 or 5 hours hours before water service is back to normal. When service is restored, customers may experience cloudy and or discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the water momentarily until it clears before using. Also any time water pressure drops below 20 pounds per square inch in any part of a community’s distribution system, a boil advisory must be issued as a precaution to protect customers. This boil advisory is expected to be in effect for approximately 24 hours once water is restored. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience while repairs are being made.

Davenport: Planned Outage: July 11, 2017 Iowa American Water is planning a scheduled shutdown for a limited area of central Davenport on TUESDAY, JULY 11, 2017 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Crews will be completing some private service abandonments and new service installations. Affected customers are as follows: 800-1100 blocks of Iowa Street; 200-300 blocks of E. 11th Street, and the 300 block of East 9th Street. The work is expected to take about 5 hours. The water will be temporarily shut off between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Approximately 50 customers will be impacted. At this time, we do NOT expect a precautionary boil advisory to be issued. If that situation changes, customers will be notified. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank customers for their patience while the work is being completed.
