INCLUSION, DIVERSITY & EQUITY GRANT PROGRAM
At Illinois American Water, we encourage, honor, and celebrate inclusion, diversity and equity of people, ideas, thoughts and experiences. It’s vital to our culture, makes us stronger as a company and allows us to better serve our customers across Illinois.
To further promote and support inclusion and diversity in our communities, Illinois American Water is now accepting applications for our Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Grant Program.
The program provides financial assistance to organizations seeking to develop and implement programs, training or community-related projects that aim to promote and foster inclusion, diversity and equity in the community.

To qualify for a grant, the organization, project or event must:
- Be located within Illinois American Water's service territory.
- Be a new, innovative community initiative or serve as significant expansion to an existing program.
- Promote inclusion, diversity and equity (ID&E) in the community the organization serves.
- Applicant must be classified as a 501(c)(3) public charity or K-12 public school, college or university. Individuals are not eligible to receive grants. Only nonprofit organizations within Illinois American Water’s service territory are eligible to receive funding.

All grants will be funded either by the American Water Charitable Foundation upon the advice or recommendation of personnel from American Water and its state subsidiaries or directly by such American Water subsidiary. All applicants will be notified if their application is approved and the amount of funding.
