Fire Road, Northfield, New Jersey American Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants in your locality over the next two nights between the hours of 10 PM & 6 AM. While crews are flushing hydrants you may experience a reduction in pressure. Once crews have completed flushing if you are still experiencing any discoloration, open a cold water faucet from the closest point where the water pipe enters the property and allow the water to flow for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat this flushing step once or twice within an hour as necessary until the water clears. Weather Permitting, the project will start on April 4th at 11:30 a.m. and be completed by approximately April 4th at 1:30 p.m. As a result of these repairs customers on the following streets Pine Grove Road, Sycamore Avenue, Beech Avenue High Oaks Drive may experience NO WATER, LOW PRESSURE, DISCOLORED WATER Repairs are expected to take two hours before water service is back to normal. When service is restored, customers may experience cloudy and or discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the cold water only at the lowest level of the house for about 3 to 5 minutes so that it clears before using. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while repairs are being made.
