Northfield - Davis Ave - Fire Road-Flushing New Jersey American Water crews will be flushing fire hydrants overnight along Davis Avenue, Mount Vernon Avenue, Roosevelt Avenue, Leo Fraser Drive, Fairbanks Avenue, Albert Avenue, Chestnut Avenue, Franklin Avenue, Fuae Avenue, Pine Street, First Street, Second Street and New Road in Northfield between April 21 2019 and April 25 2019 to clear up discolored water reported in your area. While crews are flushing hydrants you may experience a reduction in pressure. Once crews have completed flushing if you are still experiencing any discoloration, open a cold water faucet from the closest point where the water pipe enters the property and allow the water to flow for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat this flushing step once or twice within an hour as necessary until the water clears. Short Hills, Short Hills New Jersey American Water crews are making emergency repairs on a main break beginning 10:45 a.m. in Short Hills. As a result, of these repairs customers on the following streets may experience LOW PRESSURE, DISCOLORED WATER; Canoe Brook Road, Short Hills Mall and 150 J.F. Kennedy Parkway Repairs are expected to take four hours before water service is back to normal. When service is restored, customers may experience cloudy and or discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the cold water only at the lowest level of the house for about 3 to 5 minutes so that it clears before using. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience while repairs are being made.

It is estimated that repairs will be completed by approximately 9pm. Customers along the following streets may experience low pressure, no water, discolored and or cloudy water while repairs are being made: Washington Valley Road, between Eastbrook Road and Mayflower Court. If you experience cloudy and or discolored water after repairs are complete, open a cold water faucet from the closest point where the pipe enters the property and allow the water to flow for approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
