All Indiana American Water customers living on the following streets 500 and 600 block of East 70th Place from Virginia Street to Carolina Place. This also includes 7000 Virginia Street, 7001 Virginia Street and 7100 Carolina Place on both sides of the road in Merrillville no longer have to boil their water. West Lafayette Fire Flow Test

West Lafayette Fire Flow Test Contractor for a project near you will be preforming a fire flow test. As a result, of this test customers may experience NO WATER, LOW PRESSURE, and DISCOLORED WATER. Testing will be Thursday, May 24, 2018 between 9am to 12 pm. If your water is discolored, please open several cold water faucets until it runs clear before using. Merrillville, Indiana - Main Break/Boil Water Advisory This is an important message from Indiana American Water. Due to a water main break and resulting repairs, customers in the following area will experience a temporary interruption to their water service: 500 and 600 block of East 70th Place from Virginia Street to Carolina Place. This also includes 7000 Virginia Street, 7001 Virginia Street and 7100 Carolina Place on both sides of the road. You are receiving this message because you reside in the affected area and a boil water advisory will be in effect. Once repairs are made and water service is restored, customers in the affected area should bring their water to a rolling boil for 3 minutes before using water for drinking or cooking. Water is OK for bathing, washing and other common uses. This boil advisory is being issued in accordance with Indiana regulations. Any time water pressure drops below 20 pounds per square inch in any part of a community’s distribution system, a boil advisory must be issued as a precaution to protect customers. This boil advisory is expected to be in effect for approximately 24 hours. You will be notified in the same manner once the boil advisory is lifted. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
