One-Time Courtesy Leak Adjustment
Missouri American Water offers a one-time leak adjustment per customer to help offset the financial impact of a leak. See below for eligibility.
- Residential Customers – If your usage is at least twice as high as your average usage due to a leak, Missouri American Water will apply an adjustment for 50% of the excess usage for up to two billing periods.
- Commercial Customers – If your usage is at least twice as high as your average usage due to a leak, Missouri American Water will apply an adjustment for 50% of the excess usage for one billing period. Customers on Rate J are not eligible for a leak adjustment.
To request a leak adjustment, sign in to your MyWater account and click “Request a Leak Adjustment” under “Account Actions.” If you have questions or concerns, contact a customer service representative at (866) 430-0820.
It’s the customer’s responsibility to identify and fix leaks on their property. Remember, even “small” leaks like a faulty toilet flapper can lead to a large increase in usage.
