EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEER AND MATCHING GIFT PROGRAM


AWCF_MyGiving_Image.JPGThis program was established to assist American Water employees in their own charitable efforts to give back to organizations they care about. Volunteer time and monetary donations are matched on a 1:1 basis up to $1,000 per employee, per calendar year.

Since 2012, our Foundation has matched over $2.1 million to public charities that are important to our employees. This includes more than 46,000 hours of volunteer time.

Most 501(c)(3) public charities are eligible, including many K12 schools, colleges and universities in the United States. Our program does not offer matching gifts to religious organizations or educational institutions that require religious instruction as part of their general education requirements.

American Water employees should visit their personal myGiving account to make donations, enter volunteer hours and request a match.
