Eastern Rockcastle: Brush Creak: Lifted Boil Water Advisory This is Kentucky American water calling to let you know, the boil water advisory has been lifted for customers in the following areas: Customers in the Brush Creek area located on and between US HWY 1004 and US HWY 1912. Customers no longer have to boil their water. Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards, so there is no need to continue boiling your water. Kentucky American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation.

Planned Shut Down & Boil Advisory - Mount Vernon - July 12, 2018 A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for Thursday, July 12th starting at 9:00am. Kentucky American Water customers will experience a service outage due to a water main repair in our suppliers system of Mt Vernon. For customers who lose water service, water should be boiled for a minimum of 3 minutes before consumption and food preparation once service is restored. This advisory is in effect until further notice.

This boil advisory is being issued in accordance with Kentucky regulations. Any time water pressure drops below 20 pounds per square inch in any part of a community’s distribution system, a boil advisory must be issued as a precaution to protect customers. Customers in the affected area should bring their water to a rolling boil for 3 minutes before using water for drinking or cooking. Water is OK for bathing, washing and other common uses.
