Kentucky Repair Main and Boil Water Advisory This is an important message from Kentucky American Water. Due to a water main break and resulting repairs, customers in: Lexington, Kentucky will experience a temporary interruption to their water service. You are receiving this message because you reside in the affected area and a boil water advisory will be in effect. Once repairs are made and water service is restored, customers in the affected area should bring their water to a rolling boil for 3 minutes before using water for drinking or cooking. Water is OK for bathing, washing and other common uses. This boil advisory is being issued in accordance with Kentucky regulations. Any time water pressure drops below 20 pounds per square inch in any part of a community’s distribution system, a boil advisory must be issued as a precaution to protect customers. This boil advisory is expected to be in effect for approximately 24 hours. You will be notified in the same manner once the boil advisory is lifted. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Kentucky American Water - Emergency Shut Down Kentucky American Water crews began making emergency repairs on Hide Away Drive beginning at 6:00am in Owenton Kentucky. As a result, of these repairs customers in Hide Away Hills do not have water. Repairs are expected to take up to 12hrs before water service is back to normal. When service is restored, customers may experience cloudy and or discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the cold water only at the lowest level of the house for about 3 to 5 minutes so that it clears before using. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience while repairs are being made.

Ford Hampton Area of Clark County: Hydrant Flushing: April 19 - 21. FOR THE CUSTOMERS IN THE FORD HAMPTON AREA OF CLARK COUNTY: Winchester Municipal Utilities (WMU) will conduct water distribution system "flushing" activities April 19 - 21. The WMU flushing program involves simultaneously opening several fire hydrants in an area to increase water flows and therefore clean water mains of any mineral deposits and sediment that may have built up. During flushing, temporary discoloration of the water may occur because of the increased flow from flushing the fire hydrants.
